About the role
At Seek, Senior BI Developers go beyond crafting data-driven user experiences, they lead strategy, act as mentors, and shape the long-term vision for analytics innovation within our platform. In this advanced role, you’ll collaborate closely with data science, engineering, and product leaders to ensure scalable, best-in-class analytics solutions that empower thousands of businesses worldwide. You’ll also assume responsibility for guiding partners and developers, leveraging your deep expertise to refine analytics apps and expand the reach and value of our platform.
What you'll be doing
Own complex analytics apps end-to-end: Lead design and delivery of high-impact analytics applications, managing ambiguous requirements to functional solutions.
Craft dashboard solutions with best-in-class design: Ensure embedded BI dashboards adhere to guiding design principles, delivering an attractive, frictionless user experience.
Lead partner collaborations: Partner with customers to define requirements such as target audience, market needs, key metrics, data sources, and user workflows and orchestrate tailored, high-impact demos.
Drive discovery and planning: Identify new analytics opportunities, recommend features, and influence app functionality based on usage and platform goals.
Integrate and validate datasets: Ensure apps accurately leverage data models and pipelines prepared by data science.
Document and communicate requirements: Clearly outline data sources, models, and business logic to align final deliverables with intended outcomes and user needs.
Validate and refine solutions: Review, test, and iterate on analytics apps to ensure quality before they’re distributed on Seek’s app store.
Troubleshoot and maintain analytics apps: Investigate and resolve dashboard and application issues.
Mentor BI Developers: Provide guidance, feedback, and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
Collaborate across teams: Work with product, engineering, and data science to ensure team deliverables align with broader platform goals and standards.
Influence platform practices: Collaborate with product and engineering to recommend future tooling, process improvements, and standards.
Requirements
5–7 years in BI or front-end analytics roles; proven ownership of complex analytics applications; experience in embedded dashboards or SaaS analytics platforms preferred.
BI tool expertise: Deep practical experience with one or more major BI tools (e.g., Sigma Computing, Power BI, Tableau), with strong applied knowledge of visualization and dashboard design principles.
SQL proficiency: Strong ability with SQL for querying, filtering, aggregations, joins, and performance‑sensitive queries.
Cloud data platforms: Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery) and understanding how to leverage these platforms to power analytics.
Front-end analytics development: Experience building interactive dashboards or analytics features.
Problem-solving & troubleshooting: Able to identify and resolve dashboard or application issues efficiently.
Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work across product, engineering, and data science teams to deliver quality analytics applications.
Documentation & scalability mindset: Maintains clear documentation, templatizes processes, and automating where possible.
Product delivery mindset: Track record of managing complex analytics workstreams, balancing quality, performance, and timelines.
Technical leadership: Experience mentoring or guiding other developers, conducting reviews, and helping elevate team output and quality.
Optional client exposure: May support internal or external stakeholders for clarifications or app demos as needed.
Clear communicator: Able to present and explain complex data and analytics concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Experience
Snowflake: hands-on experience in production environments.
Production analytics environments: Hands‑on experience delivering analytics solutions in a SaaS, embedded analytics, or app marketplace setting.
Industry familiarity: Exposure to analytics use cases in one or more verticals (e.g., consumer goods, retail, supply chain, marketing, financial services).
Process leadership: Involvement in improving team workflows, introducing reusable templates, or enhancing development standards.
Broad BI ecosystem skills: Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, or semantic layer concepts, even if data science manages heavy modeling.
Advanced visualization and design skills: Experience implementing complex dashboard interactivity, advanced visual components and strong understanding of best practices and design principles. Preferably in Sigma.

Salary Range + Bonus:
$120,000 - $150,000
