About the Role
Seek is hiring a Director of Data & Analytics to lead the development and delivery of production-grade analytics applications across our platform. You'll be responsible for defining the architecture, standards, and operating model for transforming raw provider datasets into scalable, secure, and maintainable analytics products. You'll also help design the framework that enables Data Science teams to build and deploy advanced models, workflows, and applications faster than ever before. In addition, you'll play a key role in evaluating and integrating AI capabilities into the Insight Cloud platform.
Unlike traditional internal analytics teams, this role owns externally-facing data products-ML models, predictive pipelines, and embedded dashboards-delivered as commercial software to third-party end users. These applications must be engineered for robustness, version control, extensibility, and customer feedback loops. They're not built for single-use analytics or one-off insights.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in modern data platforms, applied ML and AI infrastructure, and embedded analytics-paired with a strong product mindset. You've built systems designed to last and led teams that understand the difference between a prototype and production-grade software.
What you'll be doing
Lead a cross-functional team of analytics engineers, data scientists, and BI developers delivering both internal analytics and customer-facing applications.
Architect and maintain production-ready data pipelines and model infrastructure for Seek's app marketplace, using Snowflake and Python.
Define standards for modeling, version control, deployment, and governance-ensuring modularity, reuse, and maintainability across analytics products.
Collaborate with data providers to interpret raw datasets, identify high-value features, and build generalized apps for use across Seek's customer base.
Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability across all deployed analytics products-from heavy Snowflake workloads to real-time prediction endpoints.
Provide internal stakeholders with reliable, automated reporting infrastructure-instrumentation, metrics, and operational dashboards that guide product and business decisions.
Partner with product and engineering leadership to align analytics, provider workflows, and embedded delivery pipelines into a cohesive platform strategy.
Champion the evaluation and integration of new technologies, including AI/ML infrastructure (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs) and embedded analytics platforms.
Qualifications
8+ years in data infrastructure, applied analytics, or ML systems, including 4+ years in technical leadership.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
Proficient with distributed compute engines (e.g., Spark) and experienced in architecting DAG-based pipelines and parallel workflows.
Proven success building production-grade analytics products-not just internal dashboards, but governed, reusable, customer-facing solutions.
Deep understanding of analytics architecture in multi-tenant SaaS environments: security, scalability, observability, and lifecycle ownership.
Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across data, product, engineering, and external partners.
Familiarity with embedded BI tools (e.g., Sigma, Looker, ThoughtSpot) and emerging LLM-based augmentation patterns.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field required; Master's preferred.
Why This Role Matters
Not Just Internal Analytics: You'll support company metrics, but your primary mandate is shipping analytics software to customers.
Full Lifecycle Ownership: From ingestion and modeling to deployment and ongoing support-your team owns the pipeline.
Systems-Level Design: Help define and enforce the architecture that makes our data and ML stack scalable and sane.
AI-Driven Future: You won't just keep up with AI advancements-you'll help select, prove, and implement the ones that matter.
